Connie D. Ahlstrom, 70, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. She was born to parents, Charles and Hazel Haymond on May 11, 1950 in Buchanan, West Virginia.
Preceding her in death are her parents; son, Eddie Lee Ahlstrom; grandson, Ryan Ahlstrom; and brother, John Haymond.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James "Jim", of 45 years; children, Jennifer (Mike), Jody, and James II (Jacqueline); grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Courtnee, Josie, Rickell, Reagan, Eddie, Cooper, Reese, Mason, Maddox, Brynne, and Sloane; sisters, Jackie, Linda, Wendy, Joyce; brothers Mark and Matt; several nieces and nephews.
Connie loved traveling, especially going to Las Vegas. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Connie worked at the Airport VFW #8975 for over 35 years. She will be dearly missed by her family and her friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron at 4:30 p.m. followed by calling hours from 5-7:00 p.m.
