Connie June Armsey, a beacon of love and compassion, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on May 5, 1956, Connie dedicated her life to caring for others, a true embodiment of selflessness and tenderness. She worked tirelessly taking care of others at Barberton Citizens Hospital, where she not only tended to the needs of her patients but also created lasting bonds with those she cared for.
Connie's nurturing spirit extended beyond her profession; she lovingly provided in-home care for her husband, showcasing her commitment to family and the lengths she would go to support her loved ones. Her life was a testament to her character—she was not just loving and caring but also embodied compassion in every aspect of her life. She was strong in her faith and was a member of Compass North Church.
Throughout her journey, Connie found joy in the simple pleasures of crafting and shopping, hobbies that allowed her to express her creativity and share smiles with those around her. Her personality radiated warmth; she was not only loving and caring but also deeply compassionate—a beacon of solace for all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her proudest accomplishments were her beloved children and grandchildren; they were her life’s legacy and was her greatest achievement. She cherished every moment spent with them, basking in their laughter and embracing the love they shared.
Connie leaves behind her devoted daughters Christi Franks, Erin (Pedro) Burrell, Morgan Armsey, Chelsea (Matthew Morris) Armsey; her son Doug Meyer; cherished grandchildren Chad, Zachary, Tanyon, Lexus, Lily, Madox, Indy, Watson, Castilly, Canaan, Cati, Oakleigh, and Cade; her brother Jack Osborne; many friends including her lifelong friend Denise; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. They will forever hold the memories of her unwavering love and infectious spirit close to their hearts.
She is reunited in peace with her parents Ray Taylor and Norma F. Osborne; her beloved daughter Tonya Lynn Meyer; her husband Jon (Tom) T. Armsey; her brother Dennis K. Long; and her granddaughter Vivian Meyer. As they grieve her loss, they find solace in the profound impact she made in their lives and the enduring legacy of love that she leaves behind.
Connie June Armsey will be remembered for her compassionate heart and her remarkable ability to uplift those around her. Her love will continue to shine brightly through her family, a reminder of the beautiful soul she was and the life she so lovingly lived.
Visitation will be February 6th, Thursday 10 AM- 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services begin promptly at 12 noon. Final resting place is Lakewood Cemetery.
