Connie Janis, 45, of Canal Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 8, 2020. She was born to parents Dewey and Joan Proffitt on August 22, 1974 in Akron, Ohio.
Preceding her in death are her parents; and brother, Lester Proffitt.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Bradley Janis, Chad Janis and Melissa Janis; grandchildren, Zoey Janis, Dominic Janis, Aubrey Janis, Cali Ayers, Benjamin Janis; siblings, Joseph Crissman, Peggy (Gary) Henry, and Alisa Proffitt; former husband, Vincent Janis; lifelong friend, Dianna Ludle; many nieces and nephews, and other beloved Crissman family members.
Connie was the founder of "My Rotten Pugs", in 2006, breeding pugs and finding them their forever homes. She loved camping, spending a lot of time at Clay's Park in the family camper. She was known for her outgoing personality, shopping, amazing baking skills, and her wild and colorful hair style. Connie was often found lying in the sun, any chance she could, and loved the beach. Many summers were spent at Myrtle Beach with her family, she would take her children there since they were little. She took great pride in keeping her home looking nice and family always knew they were always welcome to visit. She will be dearly missed by her adoring children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Private services will be held by the family, celebrating Connie's amazing legacy.
