Connie Lunsford

Connie Lunsford, 76, of Akron, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2021. She was born in Akron on July 9, 1945. Connie loved learning and continued her education throughout her life. She earned an Associate Degree from the Academy of Court Reporting and earned her CCW license. In her free time, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and relaxing with friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and told the best stories.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hall; mother and stepfather, Julia and Don Gravis. She will be dearly missed by her longtime companion, Don Rogers; beloved daughter, Michelle Bland; grandchildren, Courtney Bland and Matthew Bland; sister, Jackie (Jim) Hastings; nephew, Joe (Summer) Hastings and their daughters, Molly and Emily; stepsons, Chris (Kim) Rogers and their children Nathan and Nicole and Mark (Greg) Rogers.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homestead Hospice, 577 Grant St, Suite B, Akron, OH 44311. Connie's family thanks all the staff members of Homestead Hospice and Linda from Midwest Caregivers for their loving care.
