Cora L. Kaser, 59, passed away March 30, 2009 after a lengthy illness. She was raised in Akron, and a life long resident. Cora was a graduate of Grace College with Bachelors in Education. She was the Business Manager for Spitzer Autoworld prior to her retirement. Cora loved to sew and read, and was a proud member of the ABWA for 25 years. She was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians, and she loved to watch the games. Preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Kerr; and brother, Ivan B. Kerr, Jr. Cora is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Roger; father, Ivan B. Kerr, Sr. sister, Carolyn Phlieger; brother, Dennis Kerr; and many loving nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, April 2, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Badanjek. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ABWA Akron Chapter Scholarship Fund, 2008 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, 44223.
