Craig Allen Claar

February 21, 1974 — May 1, 2023

Craig Claar, age 49, of Hartville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on May 1, 2023. He was born February 21, 1974 to Victoria Claar-Highlander and Dave Claar Sr.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rev. Garwood and Patricia Knisely; and Henry and Sarah Claar.

He will be dearly missed by his fiancé, Jessica Taylor; three children, Andrew Claar, Angel Claar, and Robert Cushard Jr.; son-in-law Dale O'Dell; four grandchildren, Braxton Claar, Kinsley Cushard, Hartley O'Dell and Kambrilynn O'Dell; two stepchildren, Kayla Neal and Landon Neal; mother, Victoria (John) Highlander; father, Dave (Crystal) Claar; brother, David Claar; and many well loved extensive family and friends.

Craig's family church was Firestone Road Baptist Church in North Canton, Ohio, where his grandfather Rev. Garwood Knisely, proudly served as the Pastor.

He was a natural born hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being in the outdoors doing what he loved. Craig was passionate about his career in construction. He had a deep love for 80s music and playing electric guitar.

He had a killer sense of humor that was infectious to those around him. He always put others before himself in any situation in life, including the opportunity to be an organ donor.

Craig loved his family and friends and they loved him back! While Craig left us far too soon, he will forever be in our hearts.

He has been entrusted into the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305.
