Craig E. Cook, 62, of Tallmadge, passed away January 27, 2012. Craig was born in Akron on March 27, 1949. He graduated from Atwater High School in 1967 and later served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from Sonoco Paper Products after working there for over 20 years and then opened his own sports card and memorabilia shop. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Amma Walker and Earl and Flossie Cook. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Betty Griffin of Atwater; father, Jack Cook of Cuyahoga Falls; sisters, Shellie Sergent, Lori Cozart, Joy (Stan) Watson; "daughter", Jamie Smith and her mother Betty; and other relatives and friends, especially those at Ozzy's Nottingham Pub. "He was lost and now he's found." Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 11:30-1:30 on Wednesday February 15 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
