Crystal Lyn Showalter

July 12, 1959 — January 13, 2023

Crystal Lyn Showalter, ascended to Heaven to continue her search for Bigfoot on January 13, 2023. She was born in Barberton, OH on July 12, 1959 to Clayton Dwane and Mary Alice Reedy.

Crystal retired from the U.S. Postal Service after over 20 years of service. In her free time, Crystal loved to travel.
She took numerous vacations with her daughters, and family over the years. She enjoyed many Ohio destinations with friends, including Put N Bay, Geneva, and she looked forward to her annual mini vacation at Kalahari Resort in Sandusky with her brother. She enjoyed visiting her sisters in Miramar, Florida and Santa Cruz, California. Crystal was never happier than when she was sitting on the beach enjoying a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Crystal is now reunited with her father, Clayton Dwane Reedy; brother, Timothy Reedy; and infant sister, Cheryl Reedy.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Nicole (Lloyd) McCarty and Jessica (Chris) Martin; mother, Mary Reedy; brother, Robin (Starla) Reedy; sisters, Cindy (Chet) Franks and Cherry (Stan) Walsh; affectionately known as "Grandma Larry Crystal", "GMA", and "Granny Panty" to her grandchildren, Alexandria, Jade, Elle, and Emerson; loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

One of Crystal's favorite places to relax with family and friends was Springfield Lake, so it is fitting that a celebration of her life be held there in July near her birthday. In lieu of flowers please prepare photos, stories, and memories to share.

Family and friends to meet at Springfield Lake Pavilion 2561 Canfield Rd, Akron OH 44312 on Saturday July 8th at 2pm for a picnic celebration in her honor.
