Curtis F. Dom Dera

Curtis F. Dom Dera passed away on July 10, 2023 at the age of 80. He was born to Richard and Helen Dom Dera in Norton, OH on January 12, 1943. After graduating from Kenmore High School in 1961, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Curtis worked for almost 40 faithful years before retiring from Goodyear. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, watching sports, taking care of his yard and visiting Sugarcreek every summer with his grandchildren. He loved his cat Charlie and watching the cardinals in his front yard.

He will be remembered by everyone who knew him for his kind and gentle soul. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. He will be missed tremendously by his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Dom Dera.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Carol; son, David Dom Dera; daughter, Tracey (Mike) Parker; grandchildren, Meagan Dom Dera, Brianna Lapinskas, Dustin Dom Dera, Trevor Eakin, Macey Parker, Jakob Parker; great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Dom Dera; sister, Roya (Phil) Long; sister, Maryann Weaver; brother, Jeff Dom Dera; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews too.

Family is invited to a Memorial Service on Friday, July 28, 2023 at Hillside Memorial Park in the mausoleum (1025 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312) at 2:00pm. Pastor Steve Neumeyer will officiate. Inurnment will follow the service.
