Cynthia Alzene McCroskey, 82, of Akron, passed away on February 18, 2014.
She was born on October 6, 1931 in Wheeling, WV, the 19th child of the late Lilly and Augusta Ferner.
Cynthia "Sis" was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, Chris; and grandson, Shawn.
She will be deeply missed by those she left behind. Daughters, Sharon (Dale) French, Diana (Matt) Zeiser; sons, John (Cheree) McCroskey, William (Christie) McCroskey; grandchildren, Tracy, Melinda, Amy, Shane, Cindy, Jason, Brandy, William, John, Jr., Charles Wade, Chris, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brandi, Heather, Ryan, Jamie, Kadie, Jessie, Jamie, Scott, Joshua, James, Sydney, Journey, Ronnie, Ian, Nicole Renee; great-great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Madelynn, Brysyn, Jace, Kiera, Dylan, Cassidy, Chase, Lakin, Bryer, and Gavin.
The family would like to thank Crossroads Hospice for the excellent care given to Cynthia.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice.
