D. Diana (Ireland) (Hunt) Kimmerle, "DiDi," quietly passed away in the arms of her loved ones on Saturday morning, February 6th 2021. She reached the great age of 91.

She was born November 25th, 1929 in Akron, Ohio and was the fourth born of five children (twin to Donald) and daughter of Earl and Beulah (Baston) Ireland. Diana lived most of her life in Hudson, Ohio. She attended Kent State University and became an executive secretary at Euclid Company (who was later bought out by Terex) in Hudson, Ohio. Diana was a very successful career woman and entrepreneur. She became a Welcome Wagon Representative for what she helped develop into an extensive territory. She received her real estate license and worked as an agent for Red Coach Realty then Smyth Cramer in Hudson, Ohio where she thrived. After 12 years of selling real estate, she and her husband Bob opened their own restaurants. Diana Kimmerlee's and Duffy's were both in Akron, Ohio.

Throughout her life she touched many people's lives. She was always there to give guidance, wisdom, loving support and prayers.
"DiDi" was an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.
She was kind and generous to all who knew her. She was known for having a wonderful sense of humor and being a prankster, which included pushing people into pools. She was very creative, sewing her own halloween costumes and always hosted the best parties. She and her children won many costume contests.
She was physically active and the first to participate in a game of softball, croquet, or her favorite game, golf.
She also had a great love for dogs.

Survived by her children: George Hunt (Michelle), Denise Hunt Litzinger (Lenny), and Diana Hunt (Ric). Her Stepchildren: Kurt Kimmerle (Sue), Katherine Grady (Bill), Douglas Kimmerle, William, and Mary Lawlor (Rich). She also leaves behind brothers and sisters in law: John Kimmerle (Norma), David Kimmerle, Thomas Kimmerle (Donna), and Maria Landesman.

She was also a loving grandmother to Aaron, Eric, Nicole, Crystal, Haley (Evan), Jessica (Scott), Matthew (Meredith), Alex, George (Raina), Joseph (Krista), Jack, Jeanie, Kevin (Diana), Kyle (Carrie), Brianna, Koa, KK, Kristen (Scott), Kristopher (Tricia) , Mac, Mathew (Colleen), Mitchell (Miranda), and Will (Brittany).
She was a Great grandmother to Seth, Silas, Dakota, Tessa, Gracie, Baby Hunt, Maddie, Ella, Jackson, Jerry, June, Liam, Aiden, Colton, Easton, Dejon, Keenan, Casey, Jameson, Adam, Jacob, Brayden, Lily.
She also leaves behind many close nieces and nephews: Billie-Jean, Linda, Bill, Jimmy, David, Mark, Elizabeth, Elise, Brac, Deanna and Ray.

Diana was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Kimmerle and George Hunt; sons Alexander and Jerry; grandson Eric; and parents Earl and Beulah Ireland, siblings Gene, Jack, Donald and Jerry.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Diana will later will be laid to rest at Markillie Cemetery in Hudson.
