Dale O. Beaver, age 84 of Hartville, formerly of Akron, Ohio, a devoted and loving father and grandfather, died on August 30, 2022 in Ravenna, Ohio.
He was born on December 17, 1937 in Richwood, WV, the son of the late Wilburn and Nellie (nee Cook) Bever.
Dale was an honorably discharged US Army National Guard veteran serving during the Korean War.
He graduated from Atwater High School 1956 where he participated in basketball, baseball, dance band, driver's rodeo, chorus and assistant band director. Dale was an avid bowler, golfer and enjoyed sky diving, where he was a tandem master at Canton Air Sport.
For many years, Dale was a machinist for Reuther Mold in Cuyahoga Falls and Desenco Inc. in Akron. He later owned and operated Dale Beaver Services Inc., a construction company, until he retired late into his 70s.
Dale was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Green where he served on the Deacon Board for many years. He was also a Free Mason.
Survivors include his former wife, Martha (nee Cumberledge) Beaver; his children, Deborah (Jerry) McCulty, Janice (Jim) Rowe, Jerry Beaver, Jeffrey (Patricia) Beaver, Jennifer (Daniel) Yovanovich and Daniel Beaver; his grandchildren, Jim Jr, Christi, Maranda, Cory, Kyle, Sarah, Brianna, Kendal, Makenzie, Haley and Deakon; his great-grandchildren, Olivia, Hannah, Isaiah and Esther.
Two sisters also survive, Mary Cumberledge and Charlotte McCulty; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Other than his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his siblings, Kenneth Bever, Jason "Shorty" Bever, Lucille McCulty, Melvin Bever and Freeman Bever.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Road, Uniontown, Ohio 44685 where Pastor Glenn Rogers Jr will celebrate Dale's life.
He will be laid to rest, privately, at Deerfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Dale's memory.
