Dale O. Campbell, Sr.

Dale O. Campbell, Sr., 86 joined his loving wife and son in Heaven on July 8, 2021. Born in Cumberland, Maryland to James and Clara Campbell, he lived in the Akron, Ohio area all of his adult life. He retired in 1999 from Ohio Gasket & Shim Company. Dale greatly enjoyed watching the Steelers, having a few beers with friends, going for walks, attending services at the neighborhood church as well as his granddaughter's softball games, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and son, James. He will sadly missed by his children, Dale, Jr. (Tammy), Cathy (Steve) Case, Carol (Bill) Haines; grandchildren, Kimmy, Jimmy (Amanda), Jacey (Rob), Matt, Jason, Katie (Melissa), Katrina (Jeremiah), Denise; great grandchildren, Alicia, Danielle, Steve III, Zachary, Cameron, Addie, Alexis, Jeremiah, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Alma (Sonny, deceased), Theresa (Cledeth, deceased); several nieces, nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, July 16, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. A procession to Holy Cross Cemetery will immediately follow the visitation. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Dale's name to the American Cancer Society.
