Dale Lee Runion, 80, of Akron, died peacefully at his home on Monday, February 21, 2011, surrounded by his family. Dale was born July 25, 1930 and lived his life in Akron. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 37 years and enjoyed his family and riding motorcycles. He was also a Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Doris; sons, William (Kerri), Ron, Mike, and Tim (Cheryl); daughters, Tammy (Bart) Beal and Linda (Mike) Boarman; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold; and daughter, Pam Bowser. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Lee officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Summa.
