Dale Prater, Sr.
Dale Prater, Sr., 75, of Akron, passed away May 21, 2010. He was born on June 5, 1934 in Greasy Creek, Kentucky. Dale was the owner of Dale's Home Improvements and a member of the Masons and the Dry People's Club. In his free time, he enjoyed working as an antique dealer and spending time with family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Betty; children, Kim (Jay) Wiley, John (Lynn) Dyer, and Dale Prater, Jr.; siblings, Jack Prater, Margie Robinson, Faye Smith, Jane Hudecek, Clara Green, Betty Jo Williams, Bill Prater, and Peggy Sue Prater; and grandchildren, Katrina Dyer, Arlo Wiley, Casey Prater, and Cole Prater. Family and friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12 noon, Pastors Roy Smith and Joe Carroll officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
