Daniel A. Congrove, 59, of Akron, passed away January 7, 2015. He was born in Akron on September 22, 1955 to the late Willard and Helen Congrove. Danny was a Summit County Councilman for 16 years and a small business owner for 40 years. For many years he was involved with the Ellet Baseball Association. Danny will always be remembered for his terrific sense of humor.
Danny will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mary Martin Congrove; daughters, Jennifer (Matt) Lewis and Christine (David) Fatheree; stepdaughter, Megan Martin; brothers, John (Shelly) Congrove and Bill Congrove; grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Richie, David, Kylee, and Courtney; many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Danny's life will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Summit County Animal Control Facility, 250 Opportunity Pkwy, Akron, OH 44307.
