Daniel Lee Arney, 63, of Green, passed away on January 1, 2024. Dan was born on November 21, 1960 in Akron, Ohio to the late Melvin and Mary Ann Arney. He graduated from Green High School in 1979 and began his career as a welder. He lived in Texas for many years before retiring to Fort Myers, Florida, while still maintaining a home in Green.
Dan loved sports. He was an avid golfer and a loyal Browns fan. He served as a "sports wagering consultant" for all of his friends.
Dan was a people person. He had a wide circle of friends spanning across the country and loved spending time with his family. He looked forward to his annual horseshoe tournament with his buddies. One of his greatest joys was being a Grandpa to his grandchildren.
Dan will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Denise; children, Kaylee Arney, Joe DeFrank, Michelle (Ted) Allen, Amy (Brian) Abell, and Ryan Fuller (Jordan); brothers, Tim (Tammy) Arney, Terry (Denise) Arney, and Jerry Arney; grandchildren, Allison, Lexi, Ashton, Kelsi, David, Constance, Tony, Carter, Lincoln, Grant, Boone, and Allison. He also leaves many extended relatives, friends, and neighbors.
