Daniel Earl Cable "Grizzly"

Daniel Earl Cable,"Grizzly", 54, of Copley Twp., died January 5, 2005 at Akron General Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1950 in Ravenna, Ohio and was a life-long resident of Akron. He was employed by Roadway Trucking for 18 years and was a member of the Teamsters. Daniel was an avid fisherman, loved to ride his motorcycle and was always willing to help others. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Cable. Daniel is survived by his daughters, Samanda "Mandy" Cable of New Jersey; son, Daniel M. (Megan) of Akron; mother, Ruth (Romanoff) Cable of Akron; step-daughter, Lori Hokes of Akron; step-son, William Cable of Akron; grandchildren, Brendan "Beau", Bradley, Brent, Jennifer and Jonathan Cable, Jessica, Alexandra and Heather Hokes; brothers, Clarence "J.R." (Betty) of Tallmadge, Keith (Lisa) of Akron, Richard Rose of California; close friend, Peggy; a host of other friends and family. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Betty Hazelton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
