Daniel L. Goodell

Daniel L. Goodell, 83, passed away peacefully April 18, 2025 after an extended illness. Born in Amherst, Ohio to Wesley and Vera (McCalla) Goodell, he resided in Tallmadge, Ohio most of his adult life. Dan was a proud Veteran of the U. S. Navy and he belonged to Cuyahoga Falls Lodge F. & A.M # 735 for 57 years. He belonged to the Independent Order of Foresters, where he served as Chief Ranger. Dan was a Cub Scout Master for Pack 3412 in Tallmadge. He retired from Cornwell Tools in Mogadore, where he worked as a Mechanical Engineer. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching football and other sports and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie, Dave and Fred Goodell. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, Judith Goodell; sons, Keith (Jennifer) Goodell, Robert (Kristina) Goodell; grandchildren, Max, Carl, Marina, Chrystaline, Josh, Beau; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Everyone is invited to visit Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Dan's name to Scouting America.
