Daniel J. Marino, 62, passed away February 28, 2012 surrounded by his loving family after a short battle with leukemia. He graduated from the University of Akron, and retired from the City of Akron Water Dept. after 30+ years. Daniel was a very devoted husband and father, he enjoyed spending every minute with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Marie Marino. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane; children, Danielle Marino, David (Sarah) Marino, and Dominic Marino; brother, Matt (Liz) Marino; sister, Rosalie Massaro; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 2, from 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a prayer service will be held Saturday, March 3, at 9:15 am followed by a funeral mass at 10 am at St. Joseph Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital in Nicole Englehart's (niece) memory, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Daniel's memory.
