Daniel Raymond Lafon

Daniel "Danny" Raymond Lafon, 71, of Bunnlevel, North Carolina, formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away quietly Saturday morning, May 5, 2018. Daniel moved to North Carolina with his wife, Mary, in April, 2011. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a lifetime member of Aerie 555, Fraternal Order of Eagles. Daniel is survived by his stepchildren, William J. Doyle (Susan) of Bunnlevel, NC; Diana Doyle Steinmetz of Asheville, NC; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther Doyle Lafon and stepchildren, Stephen C. Doyle and Georgia E. Doyle. Visitation will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, followed by a procession to Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent for a graveside service.
