Daniel "DJ" Lichtenberger

Daniel F. Lichtenberger Jr, age 31, passed away on August 17th, 2024. His death was sudden and tragic. Dj was a graduate of Tallmadge High School in Summit County, where he was in Show Choir. After graduating, his first job was at Macy’s in the women’s shoe department. He adored this job more than anyone would think. He later started a family with Katie M. Lichtenberger and soon after, got married. Dj was always so proud to talk about his wife and kids, and the life they created together. He loved them more than anything. He began window installing with his father, Daniel B. Lichtenberger, and later became the lead installer at Infinity from Marvin. He was a brilliant artist who could build a deck from scratch and was always willing to help others with any projects they had, without hesitation. He loved hosting gatherings at his house, boating, fishing, and the show, The Golden Girls. He will always be remembered for being the life of the party and his bad Dad jokes. The silliest guy, with the biggest heart, who would light up any room he entered. The love he gave to others will forever be imprinted.

Dj is survived by his wife, Katie; daughter, Gracelyn; son, Daniel; mother, Cindy (Kenny); father, Daniel (Linda); sisters, Amanda (Josh), Nicole and Jennifer; his two brothers, Tony (Stephania); Jon (Stevie); and many other family and friends.

Dj is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Juanita and Frank; aunts, Joyce, Linda, Jean, and Francis; uncles, Tom, Frank, and Ronald; niece, Michele.

As Cynthia Fee from The Golden Girls would say, “Thank You for Being a Friend”.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Newcomer Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Newcomer Funeral Home with Dr. David Smith officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. and again Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
