Daniel W. Schmardebeck
Daniel Schmardebeck passed away on August 25, 2005. He was born on November 2, 1913, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucile, and son Larry. Survivors include wife, Elizabeth Young Schmardebeck, children, Cheryl of Seattle, Washington; Karen of LaMirada, California; James (Marg), Durango, Colorado; and Dorcas Beck, (wife of Larry) of Baltimore, Maryland. Other survivors include grandchildren Victoria, Heather, Nathan (Heather) Beck, and Michael Schmardebeck plus great-grandchildren Lincoln, Emma, and Eva Beck.
Dan grew up in Kansas and came to Akron after marrying Lucille Allen in 1941. He worked at Goodyear Aerospace as a sheetmetal worker and a tool and die maker from 1941 until his retirement in l975. Lucile and Dan retired to Palm Beach, FL where they celebrated 50 years of marriage. LuciIe passed away in l991, and in l993 Dan married Elizabeth Young. They resided in Akron.
Friends may call Tuesday, August 30, 10 -11:00 a.m. at the Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Ave., Akron, with service immediately following, Pastors Steve Van Houten and Kris Hawk officiating. Internment will be in Kansas.
