Daniel F. Shumaker
Daniel F. Shumaker, 89, of Akron passed away October 30, 2004. He was born August 8, 1915 in Somerset, PA to the late Charles & Catherine Shumaker. Daniel was an usher and member of Akron Baptist Temple for 35 years. He was a carpenter for most of his life and was a member of the Akron Camera Club. He lived in Akron for over 50 years. In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by all his brothers and sisters, and his daughter, Peggy Ann Goulet. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ima (Leazier) Shumaker; daughter, Dorothy (Jim) Wiley; grandchildren, Richard (Madelyn) Diefendorf, Cheryl (Mike) Cappadonna, Kenneth (Denise) Diefendorf, Marie & Tommy Goulet; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ed Shriver of Stow UCC officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
