Danny Lloyd Donald Hailey Sr., born in Akron, Ohio November 30, 1950, passed away April 11, 2024.
Preceded in death by father, Gene Randall Hailey; mother, Imogene I. Jones (Hailey); brothers, Randy and Gari; granddaughter, Danielle Smeal; and loving uncle, Don Moore.
Married 58 years, Danny was a loving husband to his beautiful wife Priscilla Hailey; devoted father to son Danny Jr. and daughter Cathy (Butcher); compassionate grandfather to Jessica Ady, Steven Bodner (Baby), Susie Bodner, Danny Hailey III, and 5 great-grandchildren; also left to mourn are nephews, Nick Will, Vic Will, Lee Hailey, Stacey Hailey, Eric Hailey, Samuel Hailey, Gabriel Hailey; nieces, Cindy Will, Athena Hailey; loving cousin, Neal Rohrig of Houston, Texas; family and friends.
Danny would always take the opportunity to share his life experiences as a guide to those around him with a path to improve their challenges. He was a dad, coach, and counselor to so many more than his children. Danny always had compassion for those less fortunate and took every opportunity to remind us to be thankful for what we have. He was a hard worker both as a revered HVAC technician and farmer. Danny was known for his world-famous tomatoes, hot peppers, and spaghetti sauce.
Danny will be missed by many and has left a void in our lives, but we know he is dancing with the rest of the family as they all look down on us as heaven gains another Angel.
Calling hours will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio on 17 April from 12:00 to 1:00pm. Funeral (Graveside) will immediately follow in precession to Green Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
