Danny M. Brown, 66, of Portage Lakes, passed away March 3, 2013. He was born in Massillon, OH on August 3, 1946 to the late Edward and Adelaide.
Danny served as a Marine during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart on 3 occasions. Danny was a great husband and best friend to his wife of 37 years, Diann. He was a great father to all his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his best buddies, Steve, John, Blake and his special companion, Jazzy. Danny enjoyed traveling, gold prospecting (but he never hit it big), but most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, David and sister, Donna Valdez.
Danny is survived by his wife; daughters, Danni Brown, Charlotte (Mark) Odem, Dianna Marie (Bill) Nichols and Stephanie; sons, Don Brown and Al Ames; grandchildren, Madalynn, Myranda, Austin, Charles, Cody and Emily; niece, RaeMarie Seidel and nephew, John Harless.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 7, from 6-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Humane Society or Disabled American Veterans.
