Danny Roy Markley, age 70 of Windham, Ohio, died at his home on August 23, 2022.
He was born on September 14, 1951 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Walter Roy and Thressa Gladys (nee Skinner) Markley.
Danny was a 1969 graduate of Field High School in Mogadore and a 1971 graduate of Akron University attaining an associates degree in business. Following graduation he worked for Goodyear and also Akron University; and then he followed his dream of being an Elvis impersonator and put on many shows throughout the country.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Barbara Clark, whom he married on May 21, 2016; his children, Debra Lowe of Atlanta, Georgia and his son, Danny James Markley of Brandon, Florida; his step-children, Faith (Jeff) Miller of Niles, Ohio and Joseph (Missy) Black of Uhrichsville, Ohio; and his step-grandchildren, Mason, Cameron, Ariel, Courtney and Clayton.
Also surviving is his sister, Donna May (Phillip) Simpson-Gouamba of Barberton, Ohio.
Other than his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and David Markley.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, where Pastor HarleyWilliams will celebrate Danny's life.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron.
