Danny Whyler

August 7, 1958 — December 20, 2018

Danny L Whyler, 60, of Akron passed suddenly December 20th, 2018. Danny was a sensitive, funny and likeable guy. In his youth he was an outstanding athlete, math wizard, and a friend to all. He was a hard hitter playing cornerback in football and bench pressing more than twice his weight. He played All Bantam for Ellet, Mogadore and Fremd Vikings in Palatine IL where he graduated in 1977. He followed by joining the US Navy where he had high entrance scores and was pursuing his job in electrical field. Sadly, his Navy career was cut short by a car accident on leave suffering a traumatic brain injury. After his honorable discharge, he pursued higher education, achieving three separate Associate degrees. He attended DeVry, Akron Machinists Institute, and Stark State. He was strong in his political beliefs, and not shy about "discussing" them but always had a bit of humor in it. He enjoyed playing the stock market and reconnecting with old friends.

Danny was predeceased by all of his grandparents; father, Robert (who he took care of for many years); his mother, Betty; and his brother, Darryl who he missed terribly. He is survived by his sister Denise; niece Meghan (Josh) and their daughter Isabella; friend Norma, many aunts and uncles and countless cousins. He will be missed by many friends and family.

Danny is at peace and a place has been prepared for him in heaven. John 14:1-3

No services at this time , a private internment with his brother Darryl and Dad will be held in the spring.
