Together Again
Darlene M. Halman, 68, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022 with her family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Ellsworth and Janet (Fenwick) Rhoades, she was a lifelong area resident. Darlene was a breast cancer survivor. She has taken care of developmentally disabled adults for over 25 years, retiring from Sevita in 2021. Darlene loved coaching her 3 boys' baseball teams. She enjoyed collecting angels, Halloween, working, fishing, camping, a good bloody Mary and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by spouses, Glenn Lane, Kevin Halman; son, Jason Lane; grandson, Glenn Lane, III; sister, Barbara Bordonaro. She will be sadly missed by sons, Glenn (Jessica) Lane, Jerry Lane, Steven (Rylei) Lane; grandchildren, Shylo, Gaige, Steven, Jr., Grace, Allen, adopted grandson HAM; brothers, Chris (Lisa) Rhoades, Mark (Polly) Rhoades; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private celebration of her life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Darlene's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
