Darlene Cora Rennick

Darlene Cora Rennick, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 5, 2017. She was born May 24, 1936 to late parents Harry and Mary Tschantz. Darlene retired from Summa after 25 years in the birth suite. An avid reader, she then spent 15 years with Akron Summit County Public Library before finally retiring. Our mother was much loved and was a loving influence for all of us. She will be with us always.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James; brother, Clyde (Imy) Tschantz; and sister, Vivian (Howard) Miller. She is survived by her children, Ivan, Joyce (Ray) Ball, Leslie Brierly, Dawn and Terrance (Michelle); grandchildren, Desserai, Justtin, Jessie and Hanna, and Raymond Brierly, Danny and Joey Ball; great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Gabriel, Cole, Terrence and Phoenix, Corrine, Joey and Danielle Ball; brother, Fred (Nancy) Tschantz; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 11am-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
