Darrell W. Bland, "Big D" "Jinx" 68, of Kent, passed away August 29, 2016. Darrell was a father, a grandfather, a friend, a brother, a coach and Santa Claus.
Darrell was born in Hinton, West Virginia on November 11, 1947 to the late John and Irene Bland. He was an active member of EAAA and coached football and basketball in Ellet for over 35 years, and he was a retired member of the Brothers Motorcycle Club of Akron.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Baumgartner, and mother-in-law, Sue Harrison.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Theresa A. Bland; daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Carter, and Denise (Travis) Drenning; son, David Bland; grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew, Cameron, Chloe, Caitlyn, Jared, Jordanne and Josh; great-grandson, Braden; and brother, David Bland.
