Darrell T. Boyd

Darrell Boyd, age 71, died peacefully on Sunday, December 29, 2024 after declining health. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed old westerns such as Bonanza and any John Wayne movies. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Kathy; children, Tina (Robert) Godfrey, Colin (Maria) and Levi (Sarah) Boyd; six grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Zach, Zander, Samantha and Levi; great-granddaughter, Mazlynn, who shared a birthday of July 31st with Darrell.

The family extends a special thanks to Summa Family Medicine Center, especially Dr. Maria Schiaffino, and her team for the years of care they gave Darrell, as well as to Summa inpatient hospice for the compassionate care these last few weeks and Tallmadge Health and Rehab where he was the last few months. Thank you all. 

Per Darrell's wishes, cremation has occurred and a private family gathering has taken place.
