Darrell S. Cottrell, Sr.
Darrell S. Cottrell, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2005 at his residence after a long illness. He was born July 4, 1927 in Bickmore, West Virginia to the late Dillon S. & Dana M. (Harmon) Cottrell. Darrell retired from Norton Company with 42 years of service and resided in Tallmadge, Ohio. He loved to fish and hunt and he enjoyed cars and trucks. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Glada L. (Mollohan) Cottrell; son, Darrell (Patty) Cottrell, Jr. of Keller, Texas; daughters, G. Mae (Randall) Gove of ZephyrhillsFlorida, Eva (Clyde) Votaw of Akron, Hope (Allen) Shindledecker of Raleigh, North Carolina; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who will miss him greatly; sisters, Eva Zelinsky of Virginia, Geraldine (Richard) Cunningham of West Virginia, Zona (Bud) Barnett of Alabama; brother, Romeo (Elizabeth) Cottrell of Alabama. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor K.W. Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
