Darryl L. Furry, 73, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away December 22, 2012. Darryl was born December 9, 1939 in Hazel Park, Michigan to the late Celester and Ruby Furry.
Darryl served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after over 30 years. He was a member of the Jaycees and the Masonic Star Lodge #187, where he served as past Worshipful Master. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls. In his free time, Darryl enjoyed computers, bowling, and golf. He spent many hours walking his dog and meeting with friends at Big Boy's Restaurant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia. He will be deeply missed by his children, Lee (Melanie) Furry, Lynne (Larry) Beck, Chris Furry, and Erin (Jim) Orsine; grandchildren, Kendall, Addison, Grant, Holly, and Emma; and many friends including Dave Hazelwood.
The family would like to thank the staff of Stow-Glen Retirement Village and Davita Dialysis Center of Monroe Falls for their compassionate care of our dad.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 5 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10-11 at First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
