Darya Lyn Benson, "Dolly", age 70 of Akron, Ohio, died on July 10, 2018 at her home.
She was born on September 28, 1947 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bobbie and Rosemary (nee McCleary) Wilson.
Dolly was a '65 graduate of Lincoln High School in Canton and she was a homemaker. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, fishing, and was an avid fan of daytime television, but most of all she enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, William "Bill" Benson, whom she married on August 21, 1966; her children, Sherri (Jeff) Michael, Michael (David) Benson, Tracie (Rayff) Seffern, and Bobbi (Paul) Moser; her grandchildren, Taylor Williams, Kayleigh (Nick) Dies, Alexis Pruett, Adam Michael, Nicholas Seffern, Jacob Michael Seffern, and Hunter Moser; and one great-grandson, Jayden Nottingham. Her siblings also survive, David (Iris) Wilson and Beth (Gary) Dennis. Dolly has a best friend that survives as well, Julie Hayward.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery, on Oxford Road in Quaker City, Ohio 43773, Pastor Jean Cooper will celebrate Dolly's life.
Family and friends will be received at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
