Much loved and greatly missed, David Arnold Imbeau went Home to be with his Lord on July 6, 2011. Married for 67 years to his beloved wife, Marjorie; father to Stephen (Shirley), MD, Kathleen (Tom) Van Holstyn, Bruce (Bonnie), and Louise; grandfather to David (Danelle) Van Holstyn, Kristelle (Jason) Fuller (Autumn, Owen, Savannah, Arrielle), Melody (Daniel) Cole (Kendra, Hiroko, Cattie-brie, Buffy), Stephanie, Heidi (Jeff) Coleman (Nathan, Kate, Anna), Andrew, Charles, Joanne, Joshua, and Charlotte.
Active military service 1943-1945, Patton's Third Army, World War II, landing at Normandy on D-Day+6; worked in sales in the heavy equipment industry for 35+ years; was in business with brother-in-law Robert Jacobsen in CA in the heat pump industry. He and his wife then moved to Akron, Ohio in 1999 to be closer to family.
He is now enjoying the Lord's presence with brother Samuel, brother-in-law Richard Jacobsen, grandson David Christopher, and others who have trusted the Lord as their Savior: "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16.
Visiting hours FRI July 8, 5-8 PM Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. SAT morning visitation will be 10-11 at RICHARDSON SCHOOL, 2226 23rd St., CF, OH 44223, followed by funeral at 11 at RICHARDSON SCHOOL. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
