David D. Baughman

David Baughman passed away after a short illness at the age of 57 on November 23rd 2023, with his loving wife, Kay, children, Macie (Jake) and Josie, and their family dog, Trixie, by his side. David was born on April 4th 1966 in Akron, Ohio to Frank and Rose (Sabistina) Baughman.

David graduated from Ellet High School in 1984 and went on to work for the state of Ohio for 31 years. On July 18th 1992 he married the love of his life Kay (Makebakken) Baughman, and raised two beautiful girls, Macie (Baughman) Eddleman and Josie Baughman.

He spent his free time being with family, especially trips to the beach. He enjoyed listening to music on his back deck and was an avid fan of Michael Stanley Band while enjoying a good craft beer. He was a fun loving guy and always quick with a joke. He was lovingly referred to as 'Guido' by many close friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Frank, his mother, Rose, sister, Dianne Timms and brother Dennis Baughman.

He is survived by his wife, Kay, their daughters Macie and Josie, and son-in-law Jake. Sisters Darlene Baughman, Debbie Wagel and Dorie Zaccardelli. Along with his childhood friends, Adam Norman and Bryan Rafferty. And his constant companion his dog Trixie, who never left his side.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 7th, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where Memorial Services will be held at 6:00pm with Pastor Nevan Wiest officiating.

The family would like to extend many thanks to Adam Norman and Bryan Rafferty for all their help, support and above all love.
