David Douglas Beard

David Douglas Beard, of Akron, Ohio passed away on January 14, 2025. David was born on January 20, 1972 in Akron, Ohio to Douglas and Jennifer (Buck) Beard. David was a 1991 graduate of Ellet High School. 

David will be remembered for his quick wit and enduring love for his family. He was always there to support his son and family at all their sporting events. We will cherish the memories we hold of our time in the mountains of Pennsylvania, and the family gatherings. He was an avid Penn State fan and will always be a Nittany Lion. 

He is survived and is deeply missed by his parents, his son Shane (Madison Tayse) who was his pride and joy. He will also be missed by his girlfriend, Tara Butson and her grandchildren Caileigh and David. He also leaves behind his siblings Dan (Melissa) Beard, Jim (Elizabeth) Beard and Julie (Kristofer) Kupper. Cherishing his memory will be his nieces and nephews, Laura (Erick Beach), Michael, Olivia, Kathryn and Abigail Kupper and Jakeb and Easton Beard and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents Don and Loraine Beard, Donald and Edna Buck, his nephew Nicholas Kupper, and his best fur friend, his dog Courtney.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in David's name to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society of Summit County.
