David Lee Bunce, age 85 of Akron, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2022 at his home.
He was born on June 30, 1936 in Tallmadge, the son of the late Hillie and Mildred (nee Scantlen) Bunce.
David was known for his kindness, generosity and helpfulness. He was a hard worker and lifelong learner who was always curious.
He served in the US Army and retired from the US Army National Guard. He had an extensive career in aircraft maintenance, followed by small engine repair in his retirement. He was an active congregant of Cottage Grove ECC for many years.
Other than his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, the former Ruth Broderick who died on March 31, 2010; and his brother, Neilan Bunce.
He will be sorely missed by his children, Daryl, Mark and Becky; his grandchildren, Lilith, Alexis (Joshua) and Willow; and his siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM, where Memorial Services will follow at 3:00 PM.
