My brother, David Michael Campano, was born on September 29, 1952 to our parents Daniel and Rosemary Campano. He was a typical lively child who loved to run and play. In the early 1960s, he participated in little league baseball and, while in high school, he ran track and played football.
David graduated from Field High School in 1971. Thereafter, he was employed by various firms such as General Tire and Goodyear. He was drafted by the U.S. Army shortly after his graduation and later received an Honorable Discharge.
David loved music and was, at one time, considered to be a semiprofessional guitarist. Later in life he developed an interest in computers and alternative medicine. He was self-taught and gave free instruction and help in these areas to many people.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Rosemary Campano, his half-brother, Danny Campano Jr., grandparents, Aurelio and Anna Campana, and Hillary and Madeline Pritt, uncles, Louis and Joseph Campano, and Roger Pritt, aunts, Marie Campano and Jo Ann Campana, and a cousin, Becky Campana.
He is survived by aunts, Eleanor Pritt and Alice McKeny, cousins, JoAnn and Steven Campano, Doug Mease, Lisa Frank, Stephen Pritt, and Vickie and Sean McKeny, and brother, Mark Campano.
David was loved by many people and I will miss him greatly.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 10am-noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Graveside service will follow at 1pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, Akron.
