David E. Dawson

David E. "Dave" Dawson, 78, passed away on March 9, 2012. Dave was a member of Faith Family Bible Church. He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with loved ones. Preceded in death by his sister, Idonna; parents, David and Marguerite Dawson. Survivors include his beloved wife, Doris, of 58 years; sons, Rick and Mark; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 11 am to 1 pm, at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 pm, Rev. William Crockett officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital, 525 E. Market St., PO Box 2090, Akron, OH 44304.
