David Franklin

David "Ricky" Franklin, 42, a resident of Akron, suddenly passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He was born in Mansfield, OH on June 9, 1970 to his mother, Anita Anderson (nee Smith) of Akron. Ricky was a 'rockstar' with smile that could light up a room and was quick with a joke or two, as only he would do. We will all miss you and love you dearly.

He was preceded in death by his "beloved" Dan; grandparents Smith; nieces, Suzzan, Autumn, and Mary Beth. Survived by his mother, Anita (Glen) Anderson; sister, Lynn (Roy) Brumley; brother, Jim (Staci) Armstrong; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ricky leaves behind many close friends who became part of his family; you'll always be our permanent guest star with your own Rainbow Connection.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Friends may call 5:00 – 7:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Until we meet again "Wish You Were Here". In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
