David Scott Green
David died unexpectedly on August 19, 2024 at Summa Hospital in Akron, OH at the age of 61.

David had two best friends, Timothy Hall and Gregory Griffin. David leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Levi Green.
David was born on March 21, 1963 in Akron, OH to Levi and Eva Mae Green. He attended North High School and he worked at Waste Management Recycling as a Recycler for many years until health issues forced him to retire.
He was an avid bike rider and routinely bicycled all over Akron. David was the family birthday tracker and reminded the family when someone's birthday was approaching including his own! David loved politics and was looking forward to Kamala Harris becoming President in November. He always kept up with the news events and liked to embellish the story to make it more interesting when describing the news event to family members.
David was a die hard Cleveland Browns football fan. He never gave up hope that they would win a Super Bowl someday. Discussion to be continued when we join him in Heaven.
He enjoyed watching reruns of old TV shows like Big Valley, Hogan Heroes and Sanford and Son. David also loved horror films like Wrong Turn and Race With the Devil. He loved old classics like the 3 Stooges, the original King Kong movie, Dracula Meets the Ware Wolf, Frankenstein Meets Dracula and the Benny Hill Show. David also enjoyed listening to old school music and his favorite groups were The Rolling Stones with lead singer Mick Jagger, The Jacksons and The Isley Brothers.
David loved apple pie. His brother Henry would do his grocery shopping for him. Occasionally, Henry would forget to buy the pie when shopping for David. When unloading the grocereis, David would ask, "Where is my applie pie?" - this would necessitate a return trip to the supermarket.
A private family gathering will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home followed by a Memorial Service on September 7, 2024 at 2pm at his family home.
Please send cards and condolences to Mrs. Eva Green at 824 Aberdeen Street, Akron, OH 44310.
David, you will be missed and our family will always carry your memory in our hearts. We love you!
Psalm 23
"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the prescence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the day sof my life: And I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."
