David Johnson

David Wayne Johnson, 56, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away February 12, 2002 at his residence after a courageous 3 month battle with cancer. He was born January 12, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to the late Earl & Emogene (Smith) Johnson. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was later employed by ACME for 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Vickie (Dobbins) Johnson of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Amanda (Erik) McHenry of New Jersey; son, Kevin (Crystal) Johnson of Cuyahoga Falls; sister, Linda Sue Wincek of Akron; brother, Larry Johnson of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren Sabrena, Arianna and Sarah; in-laws Ken & Wilda Allen of Akron. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with Rev. Jim Abe officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Friday for 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. "Those who are attending the funeral, please fill your tanks!"
