David Ray "Boonie" Jones, 74, of Wadsworth, joined his beloved mother in Heaven on January 17, 2024. He was born on October 5, 1949 to the late Ray and Dora {Litton} Jones.
In addition to his parents, Boonie was preceded in death by his sisters Judy Robinson and Gloria Jones; brothers-in-law David Tidrick and Bruce Dowling.
Boonie is survived by his lifelong love, Caroline; children David (Kris), Bryan (Lisa) and Jeff (Angela Holmes), Nicole, Donovan and Samantha Jones; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Marge Tidrick, Brenda (Renga) Pakeeree, Karen Sue Dowling, Sharon (Barry) Arp and Naomi (Chris) Watson; close cousin Jack Warden; a host of nieces, nephews and their families.
Boonie was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was an avid musician, writer, artist and fisherman. Boonie had a heart of gold, with a special soft spot for his granddaughter Tiffany. He is dearly loved and missed by those whose hearts he touched.
Per Boonie's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Boonie's life will be held at Movement Church, 3680 Manchester Rd. Coventry Township, OH 44319 on Saturday, January 27th. A showing of photos and memories will begin at 11am and the memorial service will be at 12pm with a dinner to follow.
