David E. Kelley
David E. Kelley, 85, passed away on July 17, 2008. He was born in Akron on October 18, 1922 to the late Robert and Dora Kelley. David was a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Army. He retired from Ohio Bell after 37 years of service and attended Compass Point Chapel. David enjoyed fishing, bowling, boating, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Robert and Oscar; and sister Twila. Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy, of 61 years; daughter Jennifer (Carl) Logan; son Ron Kelley; sister Sue DiGiorgio; brothers Glen (Marie) and Gene Kelley; grandchildren James Likovic, Jr., Brian Kelley, Amanda Feathers, and Shannon Kelley; great-grandchildren Lexus, Logan, Brynn, and Alexandra. Calling hours will be Monday, 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where at funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., Pastor Chuck Marshall officiating. Interment at Crown Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
