My father had three loves in this life: family, comic books and movies. Specifically, Superman. My Dad always said he loved Superman, because he always chose to do what was right. My Dad always said Superman was "the epitome of good." Dad was strong and capable, enduring life's greatest trials. He always desired to teach me everything I needed to know about life, from tying my shoes to throwing a baseball. He never failed to give me everything he could, to prepare me for what life had in store. Dad was the perfect example for me of unconditional love. No matter what situation or circumstance we faced, my father loved and believed in me through all of life's struggles. He was my greatest advocate. My father left this world with a capable, confident son, because of his example during his life. My father was kind and compassionate, loving and intentional, and the sweetest man I knew. My father passed proud of our family, full of hope, joy and faith.
I'll cherish every moment I've ever had with you. Thank you for always being there for me, no matter what. In a world where you loved superheroes, you were my hero from the beginning, and to the end. I love you, my best friend, my buddy, my Dad.
