David Lee Burkett
David Lee Burkett, 68, of Brimfield, passed away due to complications from Huntington's Disease on January 17, 2011. David was born October 10, 1942 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late George and Maxine Burkett. David retired from Karg Incorporated in Tallmadge after 36 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending auctions. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Betterly and son-in-law, Jay Boden. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Beverly; children, Karen Burkett, David Burkett, and Christine Boden; grandchildren, Jay Boden, Trevor Boden, and David Burkett; and mother-in-law, Fran Hershberger. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Dave Burkett to The National HDSA, 505 8th Ave Suite 902, NY, NY 10018.
