David Lee Ellis, 61, of Akron, passed away November 23, 2007. David proudly served in the U.S. Army for two tours in Vietnam. He was a former member of the VFW honor guard. David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Harriett Ellis; and brothers, Tommy, Chet, Kenny, and Mark. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jeanne Ellis; son, David Kenneth Ellis; siblings, Nancy Stitz, Donald Ellis, Janet Pace, and Norma (Roemer); many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
