David Lee Lutz Sr.

David Lee Lutz, Sr., age 87, of Mogadore, passed away on Sunday July 14, 2024. He was born at home in Mogadore on June 28, 1937 to the late Charles Edson and Hilda (Darrah) Lutz, attended Mogadore High School then entered the United States Air Force serving in Germany during the Korean War era. He worked at A.C & Y. Railroad and retired in 1991. After retirement, he moved to Seneca Lake in Senecaville, Ohio where he enjoyed many days of fishing and boating. He returned to Mogadore in 2007. He was a member of Mogadore Moose, Mogadore V.F.W. and Kent American Legion.

Preceded in death by sons Jeffrey "Scotty", David Jr.; wife Inge; siblings Shirley Gearhart, Carol Zimmerman. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Brian and Denise Lutz; grandchildren David III (Bethany) Lutz, Derek (Cassey) Lutz, Trisha Lutz, Alisha Lutz, Victoria Templeton and Joshua Lutz; several great-grandchildren; siblings Mike Lutz, Judy Pastva; brother-in-law Jim Gearhart; nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Monday July 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home with services beginning promptly at 1:00 PM. Final resting place is Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
